Orlando Pirates legend has given an advice to one of the club’s high-profile players, Monnapule Saleng.

Saleng has been one of the key players for the Buccaneers in the past season and the player also played a huge role in helping the club to win two trophies, MTN8 and the Nedbank cup.

The 25 year-old the was signed from Free State Stars two seasons ago but he was loaned out to Soweto rivals Swallows FC on his first season in the dstv Premiership and only made his Pirates debut last season.

Since he made his debut at the Buccaneers the player has never looked back as he has managed to cement his place in the club’s starting 11.

He was also voted as the player’s player of the season and as well as the MTN8 last man standing and was also nominated for the footballer of the season award in which he lost to Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tebogo Mokoena.

Speaking to Kickoff Magazine Pirates legend Shakes Gwabeni has given an advice to the in-form Saleng with claims that the player should expect tough opposition next season.

The legend also believes that the upcoming season will be very tough for the player because a lot will be expected from him and a lot of opposition will be man-marking him.

Gwabeni also believes that that the 25-year old is a very good player and has advised him to play more with his teammates and not try to do it all by his own because a lot of clubs will have a plan for him.

The player will be looking to emulate last season’s performance going to the new season as the Buccaneers will also participate in the continental tournament CAF Champions league and the club will also be looking to defend the trophies that they won last season.
